UCT IMPACT SERIES at AFFIF 2020

Dr Liani Maasdorp, Academic Director Of  University of Cape Town TV Studio, South Africa, has said the opportunity to engage with filmmakers from across Africa and the need to showcase the culmination of the ‘UCT impact series’, a number of online engagements they have been hosting at film festivals; and markets this year are parts of the reasons why they are so excited to partner with Africa Film For Impact Festival (AFFIF).

The one-week program theme “Break The Cycle” will be accessed via Virtual Access from November 3-7, 2020.

The University of Cape Town’s Centre for Film and Media Studies will host four sessions on documentary impact producing at the Africa Film for Impact Festival 2020.

Africa Women In Film And TV Empowerment Program, ‘AWIFTEP’, Supports AFFIF 2020

As the countdown to Africa Film For Impact Festival (AFFIF) 2020 begins, the African Women in Film and TV Empowerment Program (AWIFTEP), a program supporting the development of African women entrepreneurs within the film and TV industry has indicated an interest in partnering with AFFIF 2020.

The program that is scheduled to hold from November 3-7, 2020, at the Africa Film For Impact Festival (AFFIF) 2020 -virtual access, and broadcast globally via Youtube live on the festival channel FFIF TV, is in collaboration with Ascend Studios Foundation (ASF).

AWIFTEP’s reach that extends across Africa were promoting women’s economic empowerment is a principal priority and will be a great asset to aspiring filmmakers. Africa’s Finest Filmmakers To Host Masterclasses At AFFIF 2020

Some of Africa’s finest filmmakers will be hosting a masterclass on different aspects of filmmaking at this year’s maiden edition of Africa Film For Impact Festival (AFFIF) and Awards.

Film For Impact Foundation which is in partnership with High Definition Film Studio will hold the maiden edition of AFFIF, theme “Break The Cycle” via Virtual Access from November 3-7, 2020.
